I am Back! And Its Sunday Selfie Time!

I am back! At least I hope so…it seems the dogretary has lots of excuses for not being around much of late...
Growlmy was getting to the point of blogging withdrawal symptoms, BOL! Actually she was beginning to feel like a real growlmy, cause she had more time to pay me attention and I did whine and woof her a lot to play, scritch and allows quality belly rub time. Not to mention giving me lots of treats, BOL!

I know I have missed a lot of blog posts, I shall try to answer all your comments, and then go and comment in your newest blogs, there are just too many to start where I left off..sorry about that.
Growlmy’s confuser got a ‘heart and brain transplant’, so now its like a new machine! Wait...do machines have hearts and brains??She sneezes a lot, and somehow coffee got inside the laptop’s keyboard…OMD:(
When one sneezes the eyes stay closed, so who knows where the ‘spray’ goes when the sneezes come without enough warning to cover up. Are not allergies a fun thing…UGH:(

Tonight when growlmy actually had some time, the weather decided to throw an electrical storm over our home, so of course that made for more off line time…sigh…but we did need the rain, howevfur, this deluge is rather a bit much in such a short time. We got about an inch in a short time

I hear a lot of noises muffled by the trees in the back of our yard, they are doing road construction on the bridge, the bridge in front of the burned Bedford Mill, that burned down a little ofur a year ago. Pawppy being an engineer, thinks maybe there was a lot of damage to the infrastructure of the bridge…now our wee village of Bedford sports a traffic light, BOL!

Road Construction ahead...

This morning I got to bark these dudes or maybe a dude and a gal…they were strutting and calling their loud raucous calls to each other…in the field across the street from our den. They are Sandhill Cranes.

Growlmy saw a dragonfly, so glisteningly beautiful in the sunshine…so it also obliged  for a selfie today!

Dragonfly bowing for a selfie!

I saw the moon in daylight the other day…that was fun...I barked it to make sure it was not a hot air balloon.

I got a selfie, too…a sniffing the lens kind, BOL!

Once again I am joining up to the regular feature on Sundays; The Sunday Selfie Blog Hop.

  3. We're glad to see you're back! Thanks for the great photos. Our favorite miniature human, Ryan, loves to see pictures of big construction vehicles. The dragon fly, as I told your kitties, looks like one who visited us a few days ago. He must have gone to your house next! Isn't that amazing?

    1. This season here is known not as summer, but as road construction, the other season is winter, BOL!
Pawppy was driving the car, and growlmy snagged those images on the fly as it were. There are larger and lots more projects, several miles from our den, they are doing some major road rebuilding, including replacing overpasses on the highway we use to go to church each Sunday. Detours...But growlmy nevfur remembers to take her camera, and her phone doesn't take pictures...sheesh, she is behind the times, BOL!
Aren't those dragonflies wonderfur creatures!. Growlmy enjoys watching them glisten as they flit by.

    1. Thanks!
They sure are big birds. They can range fro 2 1/2 feet to 4 feet tall, and the wingspans from about 5 1/2 feet to 7 1/2 feet across.
      Growlmy is fascinated by them...
They have a distinct raucous call, and they are here most of the warm months. In the fall they gather together before migrating. That is a sight to see, and my peeps have seen some of those groups at a march nearby. Got earplugs?? BOL!

  7. Your dragonfly with the bright pink flower is beautiful, we seldom see them in Cincinnati. Bedford sports a traffic light ~ you got your very own traffic light woohoo welcome to the new world ~ now when you see the color yellow it means go fast lik the devil is after you.
The U.S. got its first electric traffic light on this date in 1914, Beford is definitely behind the times.
    Thanks for being a friend

    2. Yes, this light will be gone when the current project is done, alas we will still be behind the times, BOL!

Growlmy and pawppy loved to read the book about the traffic signal by Margaret Wise Brown, that light in her story only had the red and the green...no yellow.
I think Google had a little graphic on their page that day, and it was the same light...and it so looked like her pictures in her book!
