Winter: Will It Ever Go Back To Spring?

And...drum roll...we got more snow yesterday...ugh. About 8 inches, all the schools were closed to day. We think its a record for number of days of classes cancelled around here.

Growlmy got stuck in the driveway when she got home from work, last night, and when she finally was parked, she decided to clean up some...that took about 2 1/2 hours...OMD:(
(She didn't get to bed until after 330 am)

This morning only a dusting of new snow had come...but then the plow came along...wham...another 2 hours work to get all the packed and icy stuff out of the end of our driveway.

So the groceries had to wait another day before being bought...well, we do have a well filled pantry, good to raid at times like this. And I know she keeps lots of extra food & treats in that pantry, too.

Would you believe it is 42F right now?? OMD! And thunderstorms predicted for Thursday...and then back to the deep freezer. What a strange winter we are having.
Maybe the 'warmth' will help lower the tops of our snow mountains...

Sometimes peeps have rain dances...I think we need to have a spring dance.

  2. We have only had two dustings of snow this winter and it doesn't look like we will be getting any more this season as it's been nice and sunny here. Last year at this time we were snowed in but we too have a nice stocked pantry. If you get too tired of the snow, pack your bags and come over here.

  3. 42F is good ... right? I'm confused. It doesn't get that cold here even in the middle of winter so it doesn't sound good to me but to you it's good ... right????? Your poor folks. All that shovelling. Growlmy needs some sleep. Thankyou so much Mr. JF, Sir ... Those pictures were something else ... We got the five of them and Mum can't believe what she saw. How beautiful?? She's not much for overseas travel but she sure wants to see that Lake Michigan place in WINTER!! Can you travel around in winter? She doesn't want to go in summer she wants to see what you are all experiencing NOW. We can't even begin to imagine.

    1. Those pics are lovely in their own way...stark, barren but beutiful nevertheless.

You CAN travel around here in wintertime, as long as there isn't any storm happening when and where you wanna go....often roads are furry treacherous or even closed. Monday and yesterday there were closures due to bad accidents. Maybe if this is in your plans, you better get a big off road snowmobile!

Today?? Well it is snowing right now...arrgghhhhh...but then the sun is supposed to come out...and tomorrow thunderstorms...and then back to the winter...sigh...

  6. We were supposed to get snow today, so momma went and got groceries yesterday to stock up the pantry! So far, we have not had snow but the temperature is dropping and getting much colder. Love your new background! How did growlmy do that?

    1. Hi, Buddy!
She went to the dashboard and clicked on the edit the page section, and clicked the 'advanced' button fur the picture window...then there is a place where you can nsert your own image...and then she hunted around until she figured out how to adjust the print and colors. Took about an hour? Next time she hopes less, BOL!
